Process: Teacher will group student's in groups of four based on their ability levels for technology after taking a technology questionnaire(provided in the Introduction section). Once the student’s have researched different causes from the websites given, they will come together as a group for a discussion and proposal for their worthwhile cause with a form that they can download for their discussion(located in the process section under Day 1-5). Once the cause has been established student’s can now begin to plan for their next stage which will be a comic strip. They will discuss and how they want a character(s) to approach helping the chosen cause and create a script for their comic. This step can be done by using a storyboard, which students can find under Day 6-9 in the progress section. Next students will begin to create their comic strip on Pixton (http://www.pixton.com/ca/) for their final product. Teacher will have to set up accounts on Pixton for each group to use. Teacher will assign individual roles to students for they can oversee as the project progresses. The last stage of the WebQuest is for each group to presented their comic strip, and inform their peers why we need to support this cause. The WebQuest is centered around group work, compromising, problem solving and higher ordered thinking. After student's have presented their cause to their classmates they will go to the conclusion page and vote on the cause of their choice. The cause with the most votes will receive the fund from the fundraising efforts of the grade six class.
