Once you have been given your role by your teacher you may begin.
Roles:
a) Cause Decider - has final say on cause, record the main reasons
for choosing this cause over the other ones.
b) Character Creator - create the characters to include in the comic
strip using www.pixton.com/ca/
c) Graphic Designer - leader in technology during the creation of
the comic. Will incorporate the groups ideas but controls how
the comic strip will look.
d) Researcher - decides how to go about reviewing the websites for
the causes. For example: does every group member take one
website, does the group view websites together, is one member
in charge of looking into community projects that are not online.
Days 1 - 5:
Meet with group and talk about the assigned roles and have Researcher determine best way to approach the following websites. When viewing websites complete this FORM a minimum of two times.

Day 6 - 9
Meet with group to go over researching cause forms and express why your individual causes are worthwhile to your group. Decide on a cause to focus on as a group (remember "cause decider" has final say) Collaborate on what your comic strip could portray. Start sketching an outline of your comic ie. characters to include, setting, plot etc. You can use the following storyboard form as an outline. OUTLINE
Day 10 - 14
- Create and publish your comic strip using Pixton. (Pixton has many short video clips to introduce you to the program, make sure you log in using the school account that was created for each group.)
- Prepare how you will present your comic to your classmates. Begin to compile each group members forms.
- Print your comic strip.
- Write your individual reflections including what you learned, how you felt your group worked together and anything else you wish to add about your completed project.
Presentations and final copies due.
